Step 1 · Check your recess depth

Measure from the front edge of the recess to the glass. You need at least 1.18 in (3 cm) of unobstructed depth. If a window handle, latch, or crank sits in the way, subtract its depth from the recess depth — what's left must clear 1.18 in.

Step 2 · Width — three places

Measure the width at the top, middle, and bottom of the recess. Windows are rarely perfectly square; record the smallest of the three. That's the number we cut to.

Step 3 · Height — three places

Measure the height at the left, center, and right of the recess. Again, record the smallest of the three.

Avoid common mistakes

Keep the tape straight and level — no diagonal pulls. Don't round up to round numbers; round to the nearest sixteenth of an inch if needed. If a measurement feels off, take it again.

Lay out the frame parts

Unpack the side, top, and bottom frames onto a flat surface, channels facing inward.

Connect side to top/bottom

Slide each side frame into the top and bottom rails. They lock with a soft click.

Tension the lift cords

Use the included screwdriver to give each side-rail screw two turns to set lift tension.

Insert the corner caps

Press-fit a corner cap onto each frame corner — four front, four back.

Apply the magnetic seal

Peel and apply the seal strip along all four inner edges of the frame.

Apply the brush trim

Apply the brush strip alongside the magnetic seal for a soft light barrier.

Set the frame in the recess

Lift the assembled frame into the window recess. Tension feet hold it in place.

08

Test open & close

Lift and lower the panel. It should hold at any height with no drift.
